Waterton Park finally opened the Akamina Parkway to Cameron Lake for non-motorized vehicles for winter activities. We hiked up 4.1km to the falls. I don’t think we’ll be walking 16km to the lake and certainly not on cross-country skis as it’s up most of the way, then a scary down coming back. I might do it with my downhill skis if I didn’t have to walk up carrying my skis! Anyway, it certainly was different than the Red Rock Canyon Parkway as it is mostly trees and rock, not much new undergrowth that we could see under the snow. You can view all my photos here.

The bee keepers built a wind/snow fence and brought back our bees in November. They come out on warm days.
