The Gray Partridge (some spell it Grey), also known as the English Partridge, Hungarian Partridge, or Hun, is a game bird in the pheasant family Phasianidae of the order Galliformes, gallinaceous birds (Wikipedia). When we first moved here we saw lots of Partridges, but not so many now. They hide in the grass and when you come upon them they all fly up at once and scare the living daylights out you. This year (2016) they are back! Haven’t seen many since.
