I won’t bore you with more snow photos but will share just one. It started snowing yesterday, stopped for a little while then the 2nd front came in and we are really in for it the next 3 days. I was outside earlier and it’s already over my boots – 10″ at 10am. It seems whenever it snows I see the Grouse. There was also a group of Common Redpolls passing through – this one is a female. Moxie spotted the weasel, a terrible photo (they never stop moving) but I wanted to show you his winter coat – the tip of his tail is black. On Oct 23 the sun sets directly behind Chief Mountain.

More terrible weather, but your photos are beautiful! Looks like the sharp-tail Grouse have their Long-Johns on! The Ermine has a little bit of brown left in the fur around the shoulders and back. Winter is here!
I don’t know about the terrible weather but if that was dumping around here I’d be calling the brothers and say pack your stuff and let us head for the camp. We’ve only once got caught in there when a storm hit and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was an early storm and we hadn’t even got the snow tires on and had to throw an old set of bedsprings under the truck to get out. We had frozen pizza which we just added more goodies to and did it up in the wood fired cook stove. If only……
All we’ve got is rain and more rain, causing flooding in the Ottawa area. A warm front is passing through and the temps have risen to 54degF. You do take good pictures, please more. We haven’t had any flurries but the temps have hit the frost level. Enough of that, I’ve started putting everyone’s snow tires on and just did mine, more to do on Saturday. Well gotta go.
