Friday the 13th and a blizzard outside, typical March weather in Alberta. We have an electronic feeder for Moxie which is set to feed her at certain times of the day. She seems to know those time now and waits for it to turn. We saw our first 2 Robins already, hope they are managing okay today. The super moon was amazing, the photos do not depict how big it really was. The Bald Eagles are migrating north, we’ve been seeing quite a few. A new sighting, a Spotted Towhee! I have never seen one of them before, he’s just a bit smaller than a Robin. We put out some seed, hopefully he will find it.

thanks for the pics especially of the atypical bird sighting (Towhee)
Lovely shots as always. I’m still waiting to see my first Towhee.
Good Morning Marlene. It is a cold overcast start to our day, +1 and that could be as far as it goes today. The only birds out of the norm here are a pair of robins who showed up earlier this week. Snow is slowly melting away but still over a foot covers the yard. Our house is just on the market, the sign goes up shortly and it is time to move on. We’ve begun clearing the clutter for “staging” although I think this is just a scam of sorts that the realtors have come up with. I admit I have become a bit of a pack-rat over the years. I filled an off-site storage locker in December and moved boat&snowmobiles to my brother’s place but there is lots to go. We need a smaller house but not so the yard. Well enough for now, my grand-daughter just came upstairs so breakfast is calling. Have a great day. Dave
Marlene:
Your photos outstanding as always. Hard to relate to the snow and cold as it’s 32C here in Cartagena, Colombia.
Super moon photos were gorgeous.
