Lots of photos to share with you today.
1st off, on Saturday, July 30, we went kayaking with our friends on the Upper Waterton Lake. It was an unusually calm day but the wind did pick up on occasion while we were on the lake. We were lucky to see a mamma Black Bear with her 3 cubs on the other side of the lake across from Waterton townsite.
- Took an underwater photo with my new Nikon waterproof camera.

Life at Home
The Swainson’s Hawks chicks are nearly ready to leave their nest. We’ve seen one venture out onto a nearby branch. Mum and Dad are really busy bringing them lots of food.

- July 29/16 Good size snake but we’ve seen an even larger one. They are keeping our mouse population down which is good.

- Our ‘neighbours’ are very curious when they see me walking around but if I go too close to the fence, then run off.
- One of many photos I’ve taken of Chief Mountain.
- My Holly Hock is looking really nice this year.
Wildlife Camera Shots
Last but not least are some more photos taken by my wildlife camera. Not sure why the camera only takes black and white photos at nite.
- Nite shot of a buck – this one has got a good set of antlers on him.
- Another buck.. could be the same 2 I captured before.
- Fawn
- Cute little fawn.
- Looks like the tail of a Magpie landing on the post where the camera is attached.
