You’d think I’d have more time over winter to add a blog. I’ve taken many photos this past winter. Lots of birds migrating; Hector came out of hibernation on April 1; our Great Horned owls mated and are nesting; Swainson’s Hawks are also going to nest. We’ve seen lots of deer; there are many Robins, and a large flock of Juncos. The Sharptail Grouse only come after a snowfall. There are 2 slide shows below.

Great photos! Always get a kick with the geese on the roof. The grouse seems a bit heavy for the branch. Hector looks quite healthy and has lovely colours.
HI Marlene:
Glad you’ve emerged again with your gorgeous photos. Amazing all the wildlife you have passing through your property. Hope you had a pleasant and meaningful Easter. Amazing how Pope Francis was able to give a blessing on Sunday and died on Easter Monday. Such a humble, compassionate soul. Maureen Leahey’s husband is now on palliative care…awful cancer in stomach/liver. I will definitely attend his funeral in NS! All is well with me…very grateful for my health and strength. Are you folks into hockey playoffs? I’m cheering for Edmonton & hope that Conner McDavid can finally win a Stanley Cup. Hope all is well with you folks. love, Lorraine
