These past 3 days (Nov 6-8), we experienced one of the worst blizzards since we’ve been here. It snowed a total of 30-70cm (hard to calculate with all the drifting) and it was very windy so the drifting is unbelievable as you’ll see in the photos. Some places there is hardly any snow and other lots. It was interesting to watch the deer navigating through the deep snow trying to get away from a buck. There are a lot of photos, sorry, I like photographing what mother nature creates. Unfortunately my poor husband is out there clearing away our laneway, the deep stuff is always in front of the garage and quonset doors and along the laneway.

Beautiful winter shots and wildlife. How about helping out the old guy!!
He wouldn’t let me! We only have 1 snowblower and I wasn’t going to shovel.
Beautiful photos of winter….even if I’m not that keen on winter anymore! Surprised to hear you say one of the worst blizzards for since moving there.
So happy you have a snowblower.
Enjoy your day.

Morning Marlene, been a long time since a note from me and I must apologize. I can’t believe those pictures of winter! I love winter but looking at yours, I would be hunkered down waiting for Spring. And you’ve left Waldi outside, how could you? Somehow I think you should be out there too. It looks like a small doghouse and I know you have some cats but I can’t even see them wanting to be out there. It is an o/cast day around here and -2, there are flurries about but nothing has stayed on the ground. It will be our first winter here and looking to it. Next year I’ll have a wood stove in the basement, something I’ve always enjoyed. I can get my wood off my lot outside of Burnstown. No travel South for us for at least another year. Only go into Ottawa to get my grand-daughter Moira to bring her here. Diane&I haven’t driven for the limo service since early March and that business is dead now. Cemetery has been business as usual, grass&gardens have to be tended too despite my Church being closed. I can’t see it opening before a full year comes around. Well you and Waldi stay safe and healthy. Dave
Veronika
