I’ve updated my blog to now showcase 2017 photographs: Seasons and Great Horned Owl. A couple of samples are on this page. It’s unusual to see the moon with its shadow on top. This happens when the moon rises later on in the night, the sun is shining on it from below the earth. So far I’ve only one photo of our owl this year. She hides in the trees during the day or it’s too dark to photograph her.

Where’s her mate? I thought they hung around at the old barn.
They don’t always sit together.. he’s probably hiding in the trees somewhere else. They tend to go inside the old shack when the weather is bad.
