All this week we are supposed to see the Northern Lites sparked by speedy solar wind. At 11pm last evening there they were! I will try all week – if I get better photos, I will add them.

Beautiful capture! I thought I detected a “Halo” in the north last night. I will keep a look out!
Thanks ! Yes it was a halo effect.. we don’t see the green with our naked eye. I photograph it at 30 seconds, F5.6 and ISO 800 but I will have to increase my ISO tonite as I had to brighten the photos.
Oh Wow. I’ve never seen the Northern Lights. Gorgeous!
Those lights are fantastic. Been along time since I saw them here, usually in August but never as stunning as what you see. We haven’t seen the sun for 5 days now, getting a little tired of the gloom.
Amazing photos as always.

Thanks everyone.
It help when you live out in the country and there is no light pollution.
