In the cold winter months, there is not much going on here at Baier’s Den. We see our owls on occasion and the magpies, ravens, and deer but otherwise it’s pretty quiet. We try to get out either snow-shoeing or cross-country skiing whenever we can, weather permitting. This past weekend I went to Allison Creek (in Crowsnest Pass) with our friends. Good thing you can’t see the looks on our faces very well, we were all petrified coming down that hill! The snow conditions were perfect for cross-country skiing. We also went snow-shoeing on Wishbone Train in Waterton – there was snow even tho it doesn’t look like it in the photos but not very much!

Impressed how you and Waldy enjoy all aspects of living in Southern Alberta in addition to the coming/going of wildlife in your yard.

Nice shots. Nice white beard – Waldy. You guys are really having a great time. Thinking of you while we’re hiking etc. in Florida!!
Pictures of the mountains are fantastic. Just nothing like that here. I don’t see all that much snow and not much here either.
