I am NOT surprised that it snowed on Labour Day, kind of like May long weekend. 2 days before it was 31c. This is southern Alberta. It was all melted by the afternoon. I took the mountain shots today, could not see them yesterday. I’ve also added some new bird photos since my last post. A group of Barn Swallows came during the snow looking for shelter. Also some Pine Siskins stopped by for a snack on their way south. It’s quite comical to watch the Great Horned owls over by the quonset. I set up the wildlife camera to get some movies. Waldy took some really nice sky photos (he had a good teacher 🙂

Very nice shots despite the snow. Chief Mountain looks pretty. Yes, Waldy took real nice sky photos. All photos are great. Thanks.
I wasn’t surprised either. Such a drastic contrast in just 2 days! We’ve had a quick taste of winter, here’s hoping for some more Summer (or even a bit of Fall). Beautiful pictures! The sun streaming through the clouds was perfectly captured!
Think I’ll stay in Manitoba as long as possible if you’re having snow already!! Actually it turned v cold but sunny here too.
Fabulous sky photos that Waldy took…and of course he had a great mentor. Always love seeing all of your photos…no matter who takes them.
Morning Marlene. What nice pics of the mountains, I would never tire of looking at them but that snow! 31 one day and white stuff everywhere, I just can’t imagine that on Labor Day. I like snow but not in September. All is good here after ending our living along side Diane’s son. Just 2 years of BS. Getting ready for our annual gathering at White Pines Resort on Centennial Lake. We left our boat at Black Donald Camp Ground for this month and will take the 25 minute ride to get to our dock&cottage. Rest of the Siblings drive there as we used to but going by boat is much more fun. Covid has really messed up everything everywhere. My Church just opened for it’s first service in 6 months yesterday. What I noticed while working in the Cemetery was very few people would visit the grounds. Cutting the grass and tending to flowers for no one almost. Well that is it for now. Hope you and Waldi are both well. No more pics of snow please. Dave
