Last evening we spotted Neowise at 10:45 in the north-west sky. So we (my husband was my assistant) decided to go outside and take some photos. Success. I set my Nikon 3200 on manual focus at infinity, 30 second shutter speed, and f8. I used ISOs of 800, 1600 and 3200. I used my Tamron 16-300mm tele lens shooting at 16-70mm. I used a remote at 1 second and tripod to avoid camera shake. The light you see on the horizon is lightning, except for the fist image, it’s still showing sunset. The red light is from a tower. Also took some photos of the trillions of stars we see out here looking directly over us and south.

Rather neat looking!
Good sunny morning from Gimli, MB! Your photos are totally amazing and how can we not believe in God AND science when you look at those photos.
OK, another busy day at the lake learning about teen girl culture. Covid cases v low in MB (only 6 active cases) but a couple of small outbreaks in Hutterite colonies on weekend. No one in hospital with Covid. Calgary doing poorly from what I read online. Bring forth a great Monday.
