Yesterday (May 13) the baby owlets branched. This means they wandered off the nest but are not yet flying. They usually do this for a few days until they master flying from tree to tree. I also got a great shot of a White Crowned Sparrow. There were also a couple of Warblers but they didn’t sit still long enough for me to photograph them. I spotted 3 Mallard Ducks on top of the quonset!

The Owls have sure grown! Good thing they are fluffy to keep warm today!
The owlets look so cuddly. Love the photos!
Boy it’s never dull on your property! Not only are your photos amazing but I learn a lot when you describe birds/animals’ behaviour and name them!!
Hope you’re having a lovely Mother’s day. I just visited my Mother’s graveside in Queen’s Park Cemetery which you know. Now I’m preparing to leave and visit my Nanny’s graveside at the Catholic Cemetery. She lived with us all through my childhood and was the centre of our lives.
