My sister, Viviane, spent most of February in Florida and she sent me these wonderful wildlife/bird photos (and a couple of extras)… a respite from winter. Most of the birds were taken at Gatorland and Lakeland, Florida. It’s like a sanctuary at Gatorland. The birds are free to fly anywhere. The odd animal & gators are all in pens.

Thank you for posting these to share. The photos look great as a slide show. Just to note that the Black Swans are not native of Florida but of Australia. We saw a few this time and in 2014, and only in Lakeland where they have a few parks. What I really missed this year were the Pink Flamingos. I think you can see them at Busch Gardens where we didn’t visit this time.
Beautiful photos from your sis!! And I loved the VW pick too. Maureen/Douglas Leahey have had one for 28 years!!
