It’s been awhile. We’ve been so busy doing outside work and just enjoying the summer, I haven’t taken a day till today to prepare images for my blog. There has been a lot of activity from watching Marmot Hector, and being entertained by our 3 Great Horned Owl chicks. We’ve also had 3 Doe/Fawn families around our property. We noticed one of the Does has no tail and an injury to her back side. We were baffled as to how this must have happened, then we saw her with a fawn so I speculate a coyote attached her while she was giving birth. Maybe she had twins and one didn’t make it. Only mother nature knows for sure. (Hector’s page to see more images, and this year’s Great Horned Owl page.)

Great photos of your wildlife. Thanks.
Great to hear from you and “see” the activity on your land! Always stunningly beautiful. LOVE those owls.
Just returned from the 16th International Family Nursing Conference in Dublin, Ireland and then a workshop in Montreal. Now back at my little cottage in Gimli, MB. Time to just chill by the lake.
love, Lorraine
